Trap Light Saves Energy

This new pendant lamp has been designed by Gionata Gatto and Mike Thompson. It is completely cord and battery-free, being completely powered by light energy absorbed from ambient sources. This 'Trap Light' absorbs "waste energy" from surrounding light sources such as CFL and LED bulbs and at night lights up with a soft glow.

The lamp is produced using the Murano glass blowing technique, which allows easy embedding of photoluminescent pigments directly into the glass body of the lamp.
