Turning Trash Into Affordable Homes

Using everyday items, most people would consider useless, Dan Phillips has found a way to provide affordable living. The Huntsville architect helps people build their homes using recyclable material.

He has been building homes like this for years. So far he has built 14 structures each made with at least 75 percent recycled material. Everything from old relish dishes to a ceiling made completely of recycled frame samples. It's part of his life-long commitment to help people who can't afford traditional housing.

That is such a great idea! I bet his homes look really nice, using recycled materials. I am sure they are filled with a lot of charm, unique items taken from old houses.
