New Car-Carrier Ship To Bring Down CO2 Emissions

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) announced that the company has formed the concept for its next-generation vessels, the first of which is a next-generation, environment-friendly car carrier.

MOL named the first concept: Car Carrier "ISHIN-I (ishin one)," which stands for "Innovations in Sustainability backed by Historically proven, INtegrated technologies." The 2 main features are firstly, that while in port, and during loading and unloading it will achieve zero CO2 emissions. It further develops the use of renewable energy for conventional car carriers and realizes the zero emission goal by adopting large-capacity solar-power panels and rechargeable batteries. Secondly, while under way, it will reduce CO2 emissions by 50%.

This would be such a great thing! Just think of all of the emissions we would not be putting out. How is this project going? Any new word?
